地域の資源で鶏を育て、その鶏の糞が肥料となって農作物を育てることで、資源が循環する地域づくりに取り組んでいます。鶏糞はお米の成長に必要な栄養素をバランスよく含み、より質の高いお米を育てるための豊かな土壌をつくります。私たちの鶏舎の近隣で田んぼを育てている農家さんにご協力いただき、鶏糞を肥料にして育てたお米が収穫できました。里山の冷たい源流水や朝晩の寒暖差のおかげで甘みの強く冷めても美味しいお米が実ります。
